Winner of the Albeda Zorgcollege Design Contest

With over 90 designs submitted by students from Albeda Zorgcollege, the jury faced a challenging task in selecting a winner. Ultimately, five students were nominated: Melanie van der Beek, Deshomayra Vliet, Valentina Serreti, Amal Tahtahi, and Julia Tomecka. The first four received a small sculpture, while Julia Tomecka will create the large sculpture, which will become part of the exhibition in the city.

Our winner, Julia Tomecka, is pursuing a degree in Social Care. She hopes to learn more about herself and her own situation through this study. When asked about the inspiration behind her design, she replied:

"I worked from my heart, and this was the result." And the result is indeed impressive. We are very excited to see how it will look on a larger scale.

Celebration

Under the leadership of Edith Knops, Albeda turned the event into a real celebration. With delicious catering, a dance act from Albeda Dance College, and DJ Nataniel Olusanya providing the beats, it was an unforgettable event.

Future

In addition to the beautiful designs, rapper Bollebof drew attention with his presence on the jury. The event was expertly hosted by Ilias Bouttaouane, making it a successful afternoon. It was wonderful to see so many students come together for such an event. These are truly the heroes of the future!
